Melody and Rocco

Do you often feel inadequate, less than, defeated, stressed out, unappreciated, or unloved? That’s how I used to feel, until the day I heard “The Whisper”.
Previously, I had been evaluating myself through the eyes of the world, instead of through the eyes of God. I had believed condescending remarks about myself from people around me and marketers trying to cash in on defects they claimed I had.
As I began seeking God’s directive, I learned that the Holy Spirit inside of me was powerful, energetic, wise, passionate, bold, and gushing with love and compassion. His Spirit, His Word, and the Rock of Jesus Christ provided everything I needed to flourish like a peach tree in Georgia.
I learned to not only quit worrying about unimportant issues, like my tumbleweed hair that the world said wasn’t silky enough, but focus on the beauty within.

Me……..a conqueror?

Me……..a special mission in life?

Me……..uniquely gifted?

YES! And it’s not just me………, all Christians have this beautiful, glowing spirit that desperately wants to radiate to the world like the sun.
For a glimpse of my transformation, check out my small devotional book on Amazon,

The Tide of Change Approaches, Affirming the Power Within.

Don’t let your own heart or the wildness of this world keep you from reaching your full kingdom potential. You were not born to be a sugar-coated flip-flop, thin skinned, or ineffective. You are marvelous! Claim your call! You were created to make the world a better place by affirming and releasing the divine power within.

His Presence
The glorious presence of
Almighty God
is with me and in me;
giving me
infinite strength,
boundless mercy,
unshakeable peace.
That’s how
I conquer my fears
and reach my highest potential.
Nothing and nobody can provide
anything better than He provides.
Choosing to abide in His power,
I achieve supernatural fulfillment

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. Isaiah 32:17 ASV

Lisa, have I read your devotionals in “Journey” magazine? Ann

  7. You may have, as I do remember submitting one several months ago. I’m a staff writer with Wise Magazine, and have had many printed here in local publications. Belmont Banner, Gaston Gazette, and WhatsupShopper (the latter you can read online/ I have over 3 years worth there). The Journey publication I pick up from time to time, but need to catch up online there. I’m changing jobs in 2 weeks so prayerfully given normal work hours again, I will have time to write new material. The last 3 1/2 years my work hours have begun at 6 am which consisted of a 4 am alarm. I finally landed my dream job working with the local hospital system. The office is 4 blocks from my home:) God answered in HIS time.
